As you all may know, Ricardo and I love to eat. Here are a few pics of the food that we enjoyed while in Hawaii.

The wedding June 23rd

At the reception the Hawaiian dancers wanted the wedding party to get up and learn some moves. Luckily I wasn't chosen! ;)

The wedding was held right on the beach. It was a beautiful testament of God's glory.

This pastor was so great. Here he is blowing the big conch. In Hawaii, the conch shell is blown before anything important begins. The service was wonderful. He taught us that when we are married we should follow the acronym B-E-S-T. We should Bless, Edify, Share, and Touch.

Bless your spouse each day with the things that they like. Learn their love language. We should edify them with kind words and be encouraging. Share things with eachother. And touch, be affectionate. I was just so excited that he shared this with us all. It was a great message even for those of us who have been married for a while.

Tuesday after the bike ride we went back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding. It was held on the beach and the reception was at a nearby hotel. It was a wonderful ceremony even though it rained and stopped and rained again and then stopped. We were blessed to be there.

Tuesday we went on a bike ride along the coast. It was so amazing. We ride a total of 4 miles I believe. It took a few hours because we were stopping along the way to take pictures. We were blessed to live in Hawaii for 4 years and we definitely want to go back!

Ricardo's brother Jason got married in Hawaii in June. After looking up the tickets, we realized that we couldn't take the kids. So we got to go to Hawaii for 6 days by ourselves. We had a great time but we missed the kids so much. Thanks to my parents for letting the kids stay with them while we were gone.

Sandy's Birthday and trip to Texas

We had a BBQ for Ellie's birthday in Texas with the family. She thought she was turning 4 already!

I can't believe this trip is over already. We were planning it and then before we knew it we were in Texas. Well, after 2 very long days driving!

We were down in D.C. all day so we decided to stop in Chinatown for dinner. We randomly chose a restaurant which turned out to be pretty good.

Here is a pile of loot from the movie Night at the Museum. We love that we have been to the Smithsonian where the real artifacts are that were shown in the movie.

We have gone down to D.C. a few times. The kids love to ride the Metro. It is so awesome that most of the museums are free. We really are enjoying being here so close to so many historical locations.

D-Day Memorial

June 6 is the anniversay of D-Day so Ricardo and some other guys from DINFOS decided to go down to D.C. to take some photos and interview some Vets. Every year an organization gives War Veterans the opportunity to go to D.C. to visit the Memorials there. They fly from all over the country. It was really neat to hear some of the stories of these guys. We met one guy who fought in the battle on Okinawa.
