The wall of Legos! They have every color you can imagine. You get a cup and fill it with as many as can fit and they charge you by the cup size.

Ellie and Jay were making ornaments for the large tree that was being built that day. We haven't yet gone back to the mall to see the finished product.

A LEGO store opened up here in the mall and as most of you know, Jay LOVES Legos. We went to the mall early in the morning. They were building a huge Christmas tree out of LEGOS and they were giving the kids a chance to make a part of the tree. We waited in line for about 40 minutes to build a part of the tree. Ricardo was on the other side of the mall waiting in line just to get in the store!! It was really busy but definitely worth the wait. I think we were the only people that walked out of the store without buying anything!!

Marine Corps Ball - November 6, 2009

I know that he is really out of focus but here is our guest speaker Corporal Aaron Mankin. He was injured in an IED explosion in Iraq back in 2005. Ricardo met his wife at BAMC when he was there after his accident. I had the chance to talk with his mom at the ball and she was so awesome. It was really neat to talk with her about her experiences after he was injured. I know that Ricardo's injuries were not that bad but I still feel like we are part of the Wounded Warriors.

World War II uniforms



The uniform the Marines wore in 1775.

The Marines dressed in the uniforms that were used throughout history and they did a presentation. It was really awesome to see how the clothing has changed over the past 234 years. It was so awesome to be at the ball and to be a part of the Marine Corps birthday. Ricardo and I haven't been to a ball in almost 5 years!! We had a good time and enjoyed our night together. :)

New outfit

My mom sent this outfit to Ellie and she finally had the chance to wear it to church. She is getting so big so fast! Thanks mom, we love this outfit and got alot of compliments. :)

Here are some pictures of Halloween. Ellie had a carnival at the daycare on Friday with bounce houses, face painting and of course food and candy! On Saturday we went to a Hallelujah Festival here on base. It was put on by the base churches. We had fun and got way too much candy.

Marine Corps Marathon

This is at the finish line. I took this picture because I thought that it was cool that the Lincoln Memorial, the Capital building, and the Washington Monument are all in view. I love being able to go down to D.C. to see all of the history of our country.

This guy was running the marathon in a hot dog suit. We called him the "Hot Dog Guy". It was really hilarious that there were actually two guys wearing the same outfit. Weird!!

Ricardo signed up to run the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and finally the day had arrived. We stayed down in D.C. with Belinda, Ricardo's cousin. It was so awesome to be down there already and to just hop on the Metro instead of coming all the way from Fort Meade. Here are a few pics.
