Children's Museum San Antonio Part II

Even Jay had fun shopping!
Ringing up his items.
A real working ATM that gives out fake money to use at the market!  This place is really cool!
There is a huge chess board.
Jay and Liana played a game of chess.
Jay found a chicken puppet.  This kid is so crazy!
Milking a cow, a fake one of course.
Ok so I couldn't help but put more pictures of the museum.  We really had a good time.  There is alot of stuff to do and see here.  Thanks again to mom and Liana for taking us.

Children's Museum San Antonio

Ellie was driving the trolley.

These kids are crazy!
Jay standing next to a life size model of David Robinson, who was my favorite b-ball player!

Liana as "Mama Bird" with her chicks.
Getting ready for the flight.

HEB is a popular grocery store in Texas.  They made this HUGE store for the kiddos to "shop" in.  Ellie loved it.
Here she is with her cart full of goodies.  They even have working cash registers that scan the food!  I was waiting patiently to scan my items too!
We were in Texas a few weeks and I had just started with my morning sickness so I wasn't really up to doing something every day.  I started to feel bad that my kids were watching tv and playing video games so I asked my sister to find us something to do.  She told me about the museum in downtown SA so we decided to go.  It is a really awesome place.  I think we all had fun.  There are so many more things that we did but I can't put them all on here!

Sea World San Antonio

At the water park
Ricardo made Jay go on this roller coaster.  I was so scared for Jay but he loved it!
Ellie on a tube in the lazy river.
At the playground
Ellie was so tired!  She put this towel on her head and quickly fell asleep.
We had the chance to visit Sea World while in Texas.  If you are active duty military, take advantage of the free visit that Busch Gardens is offering.  We got in for free and even got some awesome coupons. It was definitely a huge blessing.  And we had a blast.

Family, Friends, and Food!

Me, Grandma Theresa, mom and Ellie
My aunt, cousin, and grandma were in Texas this summer to take my cousin to college.  Luckily we had a few days to visit.  I hadn't seen my grandma in a long time.  I thought that it was so cool to have the chance to take this picture.
Jay and Ellie loving on Mindy.  Mindy is a cute dog that my mom is taking care of.

My aunt brought some tamales from Detroit.  Can we say YUMMY??!!  This is the first picture that Ricardo took ;)

This is Rudy's, an awesome barbecue place.  We eat here every time we come home.
White bread, brisket, sausage, turkey breast, chicken.........  OOOOOOHHHHH yeah!
MORE barbecue...  SO good!!!  :)
I had the chance to meet up with my friend Nancy.  We met in 1993 in Germany and have stayed in touch.  I saw her almost two years ago.  I love this girl!

Amazing creation!

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:25-26

Ricardo and Jay built a birdhouse last year. We never noticed any birds in it until this Spring. Ricardo noticed that there were eggs in there. Then there were little chirps. He turned the birdhouse around so we could see it from inside the house so as not to disturb the birds. Well, one day the kids were telling me that they saw two birds around the house and feeding the babies. I was like, "Ok, that's neat, whatever..." Then one day I actually saw the bird (that Ricardo said was the mom) and she was feeding the little babies. I don't exactly know why but I became amazed with these birds! I couldn't stop watching them. I just felt so in awe of how the birds know how to get food and come to feed their babies. This may seem like a DUH moment to anyone else but to me, it was absolutely amazing. I wake up and hear the birds so I look out the window to see what is happening in their world. I look out the window and just watch them. Even when I need to be getting ready for work, or doing chores, I can't help but just to stand there and watch these birds. Then I felt the above Scripture in my heart. I just knew that God was showing me this exact thing! He knows that I like to see things for myself so He let me in on His wonderful creation. :) We all love it how God loves us that He takes care of the littlest creatures so how much more does He love and take care of us! There are alot of changes going on in our house right now. I am done with my classes this semester. I am quitting my job and taking Ellie out of daycare, Jay just finished 5th grade, Ricardo is getting promoted therefore we are looking at PCSing in the near future...... There are alot of things for me to worry about. But seeing these birds, I feel so at peace that we are taken care of by the Almighty God! If this seems really corny, sorry! But I think it's cool!! ;)

The mommy is feeding the babies while the dad is on lookout.

Here is the dad sitting on the fence. He kept chirping in a certain pattern and we were thinking that maybe he was calling to the mom. It was so neat.

Here are the babies waiting for the food.

Sometimes when our shadow came over the box, they would start chirping and opening their mouths to receive food.
